SUMMER 2024

Walking as Pilgrims on the Via Francigena
(WOCW7389, Studies in Worldwide Christian Witness: Pilgrim Witness)
Switzerland and Italy
Dates: May — June 2024

You are invited to join fellow students, as we walk sections of the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrim trail of 1268 miles. We will walk approximately 430 miles sections in Switzerland and Italy, ending in Rome. The purpose of making this pilgrimage is to walk as pilgrims, visit sites of the church and ancient history, discuss topics regarding Christian life, discipleship, and witness, give and receive witness to/from fellow pilgrims along the way, and seek God through the disciplines of prayer, walking, reflection, and conversation. As pilgrims, we will stay mostly in pilgrim accommodations: convents, monasteries, and hostels. The class and trip are by invitation, so I encourage you to attend one of the Interest Meetings listed below in order to learn more and make application.

Interest Meetings
Room 236
Wed, Sept 20, 11:00am
